The innovation laboratory of PUCP will hold a workshop of Innovation for New Businesses using different agile methodologies like Design Thinking and Lean Startup.   • FIRST TERM

    • Responsible Management
      In this theoretical and practical course, the attributes and skills of any efficient manager, their roles, and their interaction with the different elements of the organization will be investigated. Emphasis is placed on the development of skills that will allow the person to perform in managerial functions, with a focus on the results, taking into account the needs of the various interest groups based on their criticality. The management of time, priorities and stress becomes essential, emphasizing the importance and need of communication, the development of personnel and an adequate delegation, in a context of permanent change of the environment, generational and organizational. The concepts of power sources, their implication in business policy and their management are raised.
    • General Accounting
      This course is theoretical and practical. The objective of the course is for participants to understand and analyze financial accounting concepts and concepts as a fundamental element for management control and decision making. The financial statements are analyzed: Statement of Financial Position, Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Statement of Cash Flows. The course also facilitates the understanding of the principles related to financial transactions. Finally, the participant understands the importance of controlling organizational processes through costs.
    • Quantitative Methods for Management
      This course is theoretical and practical. Companies, to be competitive, must place quality products and services on the market and at prices that customers value. However, these objectives are only achieved by designing and executing highly elaborated value aggregation processes that are supported in most cases by statistical analysis and evaluation. Thus the modern manager must routinely apply his statistical thinking in the design and implementation of solutions. This course will present the tools necessary to transform data into useful information for decision making under situations of uncertainty. Emphasis is placed on the development of knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis and evaluation competencies of statistical methods that will allow the student to improve their ability to think in statistical terms.
    • Personal Development
      This course is theoretical and practical. In an increasingly fast and dynamic world, it is essential that executives have solid roots inside to lead from there successfully. The external action must be based on internal solidity so that it is sustainable and transforms the environment generating a genuine human, economic and social development. In this subject the participants will be able to deepen themselves and know in greater depth some personal characteristics that will help them to be better leaders. It will also be a moment of reflection and dialogue about some key elements of integral personal development. At the end of the course, participants will take basic tools that they can apply in their daily lives both personally and professionally, to grow as integral leaders.
    • High Impact Professional Presentations
      This course is theoretical and practical. The executive professional must address daily in his work the task of communicating orally or in writing and must be able to interpret texts of various kinds and complexity. This capacity does not arise naturally, but must be developed both in a practical and theoretical way. Therefore, in this course the necessary skills for the efficient management of oral and written communication will be developed. Thus, the student will know the resources that will allow him to express himself in different professional contexts, such as presentations, interviews, memoranda and reports. It will also develop the skills to understand complex texts, especially academic and literary texts. Likewise, it will be exercised in the use of the APA style of academic writing.
  • SECOND TERM

    • Organizational Behavior
      This course is theoretical and practical. The behaviors of the individual, the group and the organization in the work environment are the basis of the performance of any organization. The understanding of the fundamental forces that govern these behaviors is one of the pillars that allows the development of highly competitive organizations. It is proposed to analyze the individual from six perspectives: values, skills, personality, perception, learning and motivation. On the other hand, the constitution of the groups, their nature and the decision-making processes at the organizational level will be analyzed, within the framework of concepts such as power, politics, conflicts, teams, leadership and communication. These concepts will finally be integrated to analyze the influence of behaviors on organizational culture and change, as well as the ways of managing it.
    • Management Economics
      This course is theoretical and practical. The course focuses on the basic concepts and instruments of economic analysis. Emphasis is placed on theories of supply and demand, elasticities, state intervention in the markets, production and costs, market structures, aggregate supply and demand, and economic policy. The emphasis throughout the course is aimed at applications for the company through case studies.
    • Corporate Finance
      This course is theoretical and practical. The course seeks the participant to recognize the importance of financial management in the creation of value in organizations. It addresses the following issues: relationship of companies with the financial environment and the importance of their financing through the capital market; analysis and financial planning of companies, importance of the value of money over time in investment-financing decisions and the main criteria that help decide the acceptance or rejection of investment alternatives.
    • Analytics for Decision Making
      This course is theoretical and practical. Data analysis and decision making is the challenge of the new manager. The handling of large volumes of data requires a new way of looking at business. Knowing how to interpret data to make it useful and valuable information is a key skill for business management in their decision-making processes. This course empowers participants with the skills necessary for efficient decision making, based on data analysis. Likewise, the data analysis gives the manager the necessary information for the understanding and knowledge of the processes of his company for its improvement. Through various tools to collect, classify, sort, present, make decisions and conclude, participants can transform their analytical competencies into competitive advantages.
    • Critical Thinking
      This course is theoretical and practical. Thinking with property is a basic condition to be effective. Thinking systemically and critically implies a holistic vision and solidity in the ability to analyze the arguments, also detecting possible fallacies and paradoxes. On the other hand, the paradigms developed in the industrial society of the last century, such as thinking mechanically and that the whole can be reduced to the sum of its parts, have proved insufficient to solve contemporary problems. Equally important, in today’s world, is a well structured thinking and judgment capacity. The intention of the course is to promote both qualities: critical thinking and systemic thinking, in our daily actions and in decision making.
  • THIRD TERM

    • Leadership and Management Skills
      This course is theoretical and practical. Based on the understanding of the managerial attributes necessary for effective management, the elusive concept of leadership is analyzed throughout history through models that feed back on the development of societies. Globalization and the important current challenges influence organizations and society in general in the search for leaders who fit within an imprecise and vaguely defined profile. These concepts will have as unit of analysis both the individual and the organization, emphasizing the research and development of personal attributes that influence different leadership styles. This course will explore the relationship of these attributes in relation to personality, emotional intelligence and critical thinking, and their importance in managing change, multiculturalism, conflict, and planning and implementing strategies, among other critical aspects.
    • Advanced Corporate Finance
      This course is theoretical and practical. The objective of financial management is to generate value for its stakeholders and in this course topics are developed that help identify the main variables to be considered in the decision-making associated with financial management. The course considers the determination of the cost of capital (discount rate), estimation (projection) of cash flows, risk analysis through simulations, introduction to the valuation of companies and the philosophy of value-based management.
    • Integrated Operations and Competitiveness
      Course of theoretical and practical nature. The 21st century presents the change as constant, and this represents for many companies the birth of a crisis in the provisioning, not being possible to ensure mutually beneficial and sustained agreements with their suppliers and customers. It is necessary to develop new ways to improve the competitive position of the company vis-à-vis its customers, competitors, suppliers and complementary companies, in aspects such as outsourcing, subcontracting, vertical integration and collaborative planning. The results of these new learning times, as a result of the best practices in provisioning, have forced us to reflect on competition in business chains and the client, who is the only one able to put the financial statements in blue, making Management of Operations a fundamental process that involves planning, organization, direction and control of operations to achieve the objectives of the company with efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.
    • Creative Skills for Business
      This course is theoretical and practical. In an increasingly complex and uncertain environment, it is necessary for the decision maker to have the ability to think creatively and thus propose innovative solutions. The course allows the participant to understand the ways in which creativity can be developed in a business environment. The approach to the arts is considered as an approximation to make creative innovation viable; Likewise, barriers to creativity are identified and how to overcome them, and ways to enhance collaborative creativity are presented through the integration of teams inside and outside the organization.
    • Organizational Ethics
      This course is theoretical and practical. Its purpose is to analyze and deepen the ethical problems faced by organizations, through a study of the fundamentals of ethics and the way in which entities, based on values, should contribute to developing the sense of life in its collaborators and the linked community. Likewise, the course will allow spaces to analyze the relationship between democratic ethics and organizations, and their relationship with the critical aspects and points of business ethics.
  • FOURTH TERM

    • Strategic Management
      Theoretical-practical course. The strategic direction is the art and science of formulating, implementing, evaluating and controlling decisions, activities and organizational initiatives that allow a company to achieve its objectives, in order to move from a current situation to a desired future situation, that is to say vision, accompanied by the mission and the values that drive it. The strategies require the appropriate and timely allocation of the necessary resources, and the appropriate restructuring of the organization to be able to implement them successfully. The capture of complete information of the relevant external elements and of the internal capacities and limitations, feed a structured, sequential, interactive, multidisciplinary and iterative process, during the planning of strategies that lead to sustainable competitive advantages. It will also analyze the irreplaceable importance of leadership, especially during the stages of defining the vision, mission and values, and in the selection and implementation of strategies.
    • Marketing Management and Commercial Management
      This course is theoretical and practical. The importance of the market orientation that every modern organization must have and the different functional areas to compete efficiently and create value for the consumer, society and business under a social responsibility approach is discussed. Students will be involved in the philosophy of sustainable strategic marketing, the creation of value for the market, the importance of brands, the operational variables of tactical marketing, the importance of business management and the distribution of products and services effectively and efficient, new marketing trends such as socially responsible marketing and digital marketing.
    • Innovation and Sustainability
      This course is theoretical and practical. Sustainability is closely related to innovation, to the extent that the second allows the generation of solutions that solve social problems and facilitate entrepreneurship. The course presents various examples of innovations with a social and sustainable approach, and the foundations of such innovations are developed; Participants will understand the issues to be addressed for the generation of innovation with a focus on sustainability and thus propose solutions to social problems.
    • Corporate and Business Law
      This course is theoretical and practical. Organizations are developed in an environment in which legal compliance is essential to avoid contingencies or sanctions that tarnish their reputation. The course presents the legal, national and supra national framework, applicable to the activities of organizations; This allows the participant to understand the regulations to which the business activity is subject and comply with them in a responsible manner. Likewise, issues such as contract management and contractual disputes are presented.
    • Applied Research Methodology
      This course is theoretical and practical. One of the most important competencies in a professional is his ability to make decisions with objective information, which is also generated through research. Therefore, an MBA must be prepared to plan, execute an investigation, include among other methodologies the use of the scientific method (such as identifying, lifting, processing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to derive conclusions and recommendations related to matters of vital importance for the management and competitive development of companies). Also, every day the business environment concentrates more efforts to prioritize and implement innovation processes that increase productivity and business competitiveness.       This course is theoretical and practical. Entrepreneurship, whether through a new business unit or a new company, is an engine that drives the sustainable growth of organizations, creating competitive advantages that place them in advantageous conditions. The course presents a practical methodology for the identification and evaluation of real business opportunities, differentiating innovative ideas from ideas with little or no potential for exponential development. On the basis of soft methodologies and knowledge acquired in the course, students will develop a scalable business idea that fully identifies the business model, which will serve as a basis and starting point for their ventures.
    • Disruptive Technological Innovation and New Business Models
      Theoretical-practical course. Innovation is a fundamental element in the culture of organizations that wish to overcome the challenges of change in a context marked by the diversity of technologies, extreme competitiveness and cultural plurality resulting from globalization. The Technology and Innovation Management becomes a broad responsibility that includes aspects of context evaluation and characterization of the organization for the creation of new business models for the generation of so-called exponential organizations. Innovation is a facilitator of positive disruptions in its environment, making possible new concepts such as the orange and open economy. Creative innovators are required, committed to the change and development of global solutions, visionary, strategic, present and future managers.
    • Social Responsibility, Corporate Governance and Compliance
      This course is theoretical and practical. The company’s relationship with its stakeholders is essential to achieve sustained growth in harmony with the environment and society. The strategic implementation of social responsibility requires knowledge and the application of techniques and tools that facilitate this relationship with stakeholders and allow them to move from theory to practice with ethical results. Sustainability can be achieved through the creation of shared value, achieving results greater than expected. This is impossible to achieve without proper management of corporate culture, inclusive as a basis for business sustainability, providing capabilities to improve ethical performance, prevent fraud through codes of institutional ethics, analyzing situations of current or potential conflicts of interests, a corporate integrity plan and leadership promotion for its implementation.
    • Thesis 1 Seminar
      The course, theoretical and practical, is intended to provide participants with skills to perform a final application work, through the accompaniment of an advisor who will provide feedback on how the tools leading to the construction of the document are being applied. thesis. At this stage, the student will identify, raise, process and analyze quantitative or qualitative data, in order to reach conclusions and recommendations related to their research, which generate value for management, a more competitive performance by organizations and a contribution. to society The student will present their results according to the Publications Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA).
  • SIXTH TERM

    • Geopolitics and Global Governance
      This course is theoretical and practical. The business leader, in a globalized world, must have a solid vision of the complexity and diversity of contemporary society in order to know how to act in it and how to take advantage of the opportunities presented to it and which are not always directly visible. For this, this course proposes to understand the critical factors that explain social phenomena such as capitalism, the industrial revolution, globalization and the emergence of Asian nations, especially China. Likewise, a basic knowledge of the historical and cultural condition of the Peruvian nation will be developed. Likewise, the elements to understand geopolitics in the 21st century will be discussed.
    • International Finance
      This course is theoretical and practical. The course includes aspects of international financial management, its current importance and future perspectives in order to support decision making in multinational companies in a global and competitive environment. The main international financial markets are analyzed as sources of financing. The crises and imbalances that occur in global markets and the impact on currencies, interest rates, inflation, flows and value of companies and economic growth of countries are reviewed and risk coverage is understood as through derivative instruments (forwards, futures, options and swaps).
    • Marketing and Global Commerce
      Non-reactive Practical Course. To graduate in the program, it is necessary to develop, sustain in a public act and approve the thesis work. The elaboration of the research work or master’s thesis has the following objectives: (a) to provide students with the opportunity to get involved in an independent research and thought project; (b) explore in depth an area of knowledge; (c) apply knowledge acquired during the master’s program; (d) apply models, concepts, ideas and management methods to the candidates’ own fields of interest; (e) put into practice the capacity for analysis and critical reasoning; (f) bring students closer to various research approaches; (g) generate an intellectual contribution in the field of management; (h) contribute through strategic research proposals that seek sustainable, social and business development.

CENTRUM’s MBA admission Process is open throughout the year. Your application will be processed in approx. two weeks, as long as you submit the documents required by the Admissions Office.

  • Be at least 25 years old by the start of the Admissions Process
  • Pass the PAEP aptitude test
  • Finish the Personality Insight Test
  • If the Admissions Service requires to arrange a personal interview, a member of the Admissions Office team will contact you in order to schedule the appointment.

If the university has not registered the academic degree in SUNEDU, the applicant must submit a copy of the Bachelor’s Degree Diploma by the university that issued it. (*) If the applicant has studied outside Peru, he/she shall submit a notarized copy of the Degree. Professor Sandro Sánchez holds a Master of Business Administration in General and Strategic Management from Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands. He also holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Perú, and a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Professor Sandro Sánchez has completed specialization courses of Quality Management (Peru and Germany), Supply Chain Management (Peru and United States), Environmental Management, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
