The Diploma of International Business Study in Financial Risk has been created to cover an unmet need for highly qualified professionals in the area of ​​financial risks.

SPOOC Course in Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility by our Director General Dr. Percy Marquina, this course is free, optional and complementary to professional specialization; the course will provide them with the knowledge and effective application of techniques and tools that facilitate the relationship with stakeholders and allow them to move from theory to practice, with a view to their strategic management for the achievement of ethical and sustainable development.

The International Business Diploma in Financial Risk comprises three modules, in which basic and advanced concepts are developed. To pass the program, you must successfully complete the subjects at CENTRUM PUCP and EADA Business School.

CENTRUM PUCP may make changes in the curriculum, or sequence of courses or teachers, according to its policy of continuous improvement. If failure to comply with the required quorum, CENTRUM PUCP reserves the right to postpone the start of courses and programs.
  • MODULE I

    • Corporate Finance Applied
      The course is theoretical and practical. Develops the concepts and tools available to those who manage a financial area to achieve business objectives in an uncertain environment. Financial instruments will be analyzed in accordance with the objectives of creating value for shareholders and stakeholders.
    • Quantitative Methods for Risk Measurement
      The course is theoretical and practical. It presents a set of statistical tools and their specific applications to estimation, inference and prediction problems in risk management. At the end of the course, the participant has a balance between the foundations of economic theory and the use of developed techniques and methods.
    • Comprehensive Risk Management
      The course is theoretical and practical. It seeks to analyze the fundamentals of risk, as well as the definition and implementation of financial risk in general. The implications of the Basel II agreements in the analysis of financial risk are discussed. The risk, in the form of uncertainty, will be analyzed according to the quantitative information that we have available. Topics of risk forecasting and management are discussed, using financial instruments, as well as the risks and opportunities of national and international businesses, measurement techniques, prevention and risk coverage.
  • MODULE II

    • Econometrics for Risk Modeling
      The course is theoretical and practical. It seeks to encourage the development of new inference methods based on models known as financial econometrics. Financial econometrics presents the tools necessary to analyze and interpret data and test many theoretical results that attempt to explain the characteristics of corporate finance, asset valuation, investment, and international finance. Likewise, financial econometrics in turn generates information of interest that requires further theoretical or empirical study.
    • Operational Risk Management
      The course is theoretical and practical. It develops the concept of operating risk in the framework of Basel III (New Capital Agreement) and its application in Peru through management tools and techniques. Likewise, the basic criteria for recording operational risk loss data are explored, analyzing the reporting criteria used by international consortia for external databases. The measurement models typical of advanced methods are reviewed.
    • Market Risk Management
      The course is theoretical and practical. Reviews market risks from the point of view of treasury operations, also analyzing the role of credit risk and the regulator’s perspectives. Fundamental elements are developed so that participants can adequately measure, analyze and manage market risks.
  • MODULE III

    • Credit Risk Management
      The course is theoretical and practical. Analyze credit risk according to current standards, using quantitative and qualitative reasoning bases. Credit risk management criteria are developed, as well as measurement tools. The course is hands-on, allowing participants to develop the skills to implement their own models and measure their effectiveness using model validation and reasonableness tests. Theoretical applications conceptually cover some complex financial instruments such as CDS, CDO, among others, so that the participants understand their usefulness and potential risks.
    • Financial Hedges – EADA Business School
      The course, taught by EADA Business School, analyzes the important phenomena of world financial markets such as bank disintermediation, globalization and information technology have supported operations and instruments in this market with the highest growth in the field of the finances. The course’s perspective is to analyze the main operations and instruments of this market under hedging and speculation considerations. The focus of the course will be mainly global with specific applications to the Peruvian market.

In this context, the course seeks that the participant know the main aspects in the management of relations with his stakeholders with a view to their strategic management for the achievement of ethical and sustainable development.

Clara Rosselló

Professor Rosselló is a Master of Business Administration in General and Strategic Management, Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands. Master in Strategic Business Administration, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. B.A. in Graphic Arts, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She has international certifications among which stand out: CPCL Harvard Business School, Boston, USA; International Master in Leadership EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain; Executive Program Customer Experience IE Business School, Madrid, Spain; International Program for Board Members EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain. To date she is a member of the “Steering Committee” of the EFMD Americas Conference 2019-2021.

She has been Corporate Image Manager of Unique-Yanbal International for Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and USA; Marketing Manager of Unique-Peru.
