The International Business Diploma in Agile Methods & Innovation is an international program developed by CENTRUM PUCP and Red Agile Peru that will help you transform organizations’ management guidelines and innovation procedures using agile methods. The general market outlook and high competition demands that organizations look for new ways of doing things and of responding to a complex environment. Therefore, it is important that organizations have innovative or agile approaches that allow them to improve their current products and / or services and focus on the generation of new goods and / or disruptive benefits, focused on the end user. In addition, the reality of organizations demands that we focus on empowering people and above all keeping them motivated, in this way sustainability will be given to the performance of the team and the final result of the initiatives, will satisfy the expectations of key stakeholders and above all will provide an adequate level of satisfaction to the end user.

The International Business Diploma in Agile Methods & Innovation, comprises three modules, in which basic and advanced concepts are developed. To pass the program, you must successfully complete the subjects at CENTRUM PUCP.

  • MODULE I

    • Cultural Transformation
      This course will focus as a basis in the realization of a cultural transformation as part of the process of agile transformation and innovation within an organization, where participants will use various techniques applied with LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology, discovering within the process different pain points or paint points, which are various problems, specifications or expectations not met compared to what was raised, to start the path to cultural transformation.
    • Agile Mindset
      This course will focus on developing an agile mindset within people and the organization, through various gamification dynamics and using the LEGO* SERIOUS PLAY* method. Participants will understand the importance and use of the Agile Manifesto and various agile practices within their organization and / or their projects.
    • Team Development with LEGO* SERIOUS PLAY* Method
      Participants will develop various skills that allow them to understand and apply different techniques within a team, considering the use of LEGO* SERIOUS PLAY* method in order to improve integration between team members and discover the different drivers in achieving objectives. In addition, the Team Life Cycle and how to cope with different complex situations within the adaptation process will be explored.
    • Agile Organizations
      This course will develop concepts and allow participants to focus through a practical process on the agile transformation of their organizations, because this transformation is a complex process that needs a holistic view within the organization. Therefore, it is important to review the current situation of culture and organizational structure, to proceed to design and implement an agile transformation on a large scale, where we will identify people who will be the potential early adopters within this process and implementation of the Agile Manifesto in an organization.
    • Product and Service Oriented Innovation
      The Product and Service Oriented Innovation course has a practical approach, providing knowledge and supporting the development of skills necessary for the development of product innovations, service or process improvements. In addition, in this course you will find real cases of success and failure of innovations in different industries, also, the guidelines of legal regulations for the registration of trademarks and patents will be provided. Finally, the focus of the course is based on People Centered Design (DCP), where the product or service will be generated from the perspective of those who use it.
  • MODULE II

    • Design Thinking for Product Design
      The course provides participants with 100% practical experience in innovation management through the Design Thinking methodology using LEGO* SERIOUS PLAY* method and materials. In addition, the famous tool coined by David M. Kelley will be developed from beginning to end, going through each of its phases: Empathy, Definition, Ideation, Prototyping and Evaluating. The objective is that participants can face the changing market, using creative and effective tools that allow organizations to know the true needs and insights of customers and users, in order to develop innovative products at the lowest possible cost, to evaluate them in the market quickly, obtaining constant feedback towards continuous product improvement.
    • Scrum
      The Scrum course will provide participants with tools to use an agile framework for the development or improvement of products and / or services, which allows guaranteeing the satisfaction of the requirements that generate greater value for the client, from a collaborative, participatory approach and through helpful leadership by project team members. In addition, this course will provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge to adequately apply agile project management in different areas, handling a high degree of changing requirements and a highly complex environment, where adaptation is the fundamental basis of success for this type of projects.
    • Management 3.0: A New Model of Leadership and Management
      The Management 3.0 course: A new model of leadership and management, will develop in the participants the necessary skills to act as an agent of change, supporting the transformation of the organization, providing good practices in the adoption of an agile project and the empowerment of the work environment, based on an innovative and helpful leadership style, as well as team integration, employee autonomy and teamwork. Likewise, Management 3.0 will be applied to complex environments based on the transformation of the organizational structure and the modification of culture as the center of agile transformation.
  • MODULE III

    • Lean UX & Service Design
      Today, constant change and competition is making organizations respond quickly to the needs of end users, through the delivery of memorable services that can generate a level of satisfaction and increase user value within their user experience. In the Lean UX and Service Design course, participants will focus on generating the best user experience using digital solutions such as web portals and mobile apps, focusing on the ease and experience of use by the user when interacting with the service.
    • Lean Change Management
      The course focuses on change based on feedback, the steps to follow to make a correct adaptation to the business context. On the other hand, the course will provide a three-step process to the participants in the Lean Change Management proposal that are based on Insights-Options-Experiments.
    • Corporate Finance
      The course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge to economically evaluate their business ideas or prototypes, calculating financial indicators such as ROI, VAN, TIR and Payback. On the other hand, the participants may prepare a Future Cash Flow to calculate their financial flows in the following years or periods.
    • Final Project
      The course focuses on the application of the tools and knowledge acquired by participants in previous courses, where they will choose an organization or create a new organization (startup), in order to create or improve a current product or service, where there is a desire or unmet needs by users. Creating a functional product, through the use of various agile tools.

Summary of the Course:

The company’s role in sustainable development is based on achieving successful results in the economic, environmental and social fields. The relationship of the company with its various stakeholders is essential to achieve these results, with the proper management being that allows the company to grow the business in harmony with the environment and the society in which the company interacts.

The strategic implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility requires the knowledge and effective application of techniques and tools that facilitate the relationship with stakeholders and allow the entrepreneur to move from theory to practice with ethical and sustainable results.

In this context, the course seeks that the participant know the main aspects in the management of relations with his stakeholders with a view to their strategic management for the achievement of ethical and sustainable development.

Professor Rosselló is a Master of Business Administration in General and Strategic Management, Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands. Master in Strategic Business Administration, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. B.A. in Graphic Arts, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. She has international certifications among which stand out: CPCL Harvard Business School, Boston, USA; International Master in Leadership EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain; Executive Program Customer Experience IE Business School, Madrid, Spain; International Program for Board Members EADA Business School, Barcelona, Spain. To date she is a member of the “Steering Committee” of the EFMD Americas Conference 2019-2021.

She has been Corporate Image Manager of Unique-Yanbal International for Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico and USA; Marketing Manager of Unique-Peru. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Comacsa, a leading non-metallic mining company in Peru, and a board member of Fundición Americana S.A.
