Professor José Pereyra is a Doctor of Business Administration from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands, Doctor of Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He holds a Master of Philosophy from Maastricht School of Management, a Master’s degree in Top Management and Leadership from Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) and Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. He also holds a Diploma in Nuclear Engineering from the Institute of Nuclear Studies, Spain, a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Science, Peruvian Navy, Specialization design courses of nuclear reactors at the University of Tennessee, USA, and in Strategic Management at University of Belgrano, Argentina.



Professor Pereyra has been Vicepresident of Academic Affairs and Research and Dean in charge of the Education, Sciences, and Humanities Departments at UPC. He was also responsible of the institutional accreditation processes at UPC. Professor Pereyra has been Academic Director and Deputy Director of the Peruvian Naval School. At the Peruvian Nuclear Energy Institute, he was the Project Manager of “Huarangal” nuclear power plant and Executive Director of RACSO nuclear power plant. Internationally, he has been the Head of the Peruvian Nuclear Office for the National Commission of Atomic Energy in Argentina and Specialist Inspector in Nuclear Fuels for Interatom and Nukem companies.

Professor Pereyra has been a consultant to several companies in strategic and quality management subjects. His doctoral research topic was the quantitative study of human behavior toward the environment and sustainable development.



Professor Pereyra currently is the Director of Academic Programs and Professor at at CENTRUM PUCP Business School.
