Professor Diaz is Doctor and Master of Arts. in Economics, Northwestern University, USA. Master in Economics, Universidad de Chile, Chile. Bachelor of Economics, Universidad del Pacifico, Peru.
Regarding his professional experience, he is a member of the Antidumping Audit Commission and Indecopi. He has served as a full time professor in the Department of Economics at the Universidad del Pacifico, Consultant area Competition and Regulatory Support Consulting Specialist Microeconomics Office of Economic Studies in Osinerg and Instructor Professor, Department of Economics the University of Chile. He has spent periods of short-term research at the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. actively participates in national and international academic conferences.
Professor Diaz is the author of several articles among which we quote: Regulatory Design and Technical Efficiency: Public Transport in France” (Journal of Regulatory Economics, In press), Benchmarking the Efficiency of Public Water Companies in Peru: A Conditional DEA Approach. (Public Enterprise Journal, In press), Productividad total de factores en la agricultura peruana: Estimación y determinantes (Revista Economía, 2015), Self-Regulation with Credence Goods and the Possibility of Corruption (Estudios de Economía, 2003).
His research interests are mainly focused on the area of Applied Microeconomics and Industrial Organization, with an emphasis on the empirical study of regulatory contracts, and analysis of the determinants of productivity of firms.
He is currently Professor and Researcher in the Academic Area of Finance, Accounting and Economics at CENTRUM Catolica Graduate Business School.
