Professor José Acha holds a Master’s Degree in Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, a Master’s degree in International Leadership from EADA, Spain, and a Master’s degree in Naval Maritime Science from the Naval War College. He also holds Master’s degrees in National Defense from the National Defense Academy, Argentina, and in International Relations (Political Economy) from Troy State University, United States. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Science from the Peruvian Naval Academy. In addition, Professor Acha has completed several specialization courses in electronics and communications in Peru, process reengineering and strategic management in the United States, and Strategic Intelligence in Argentina. He holds certificates in Total Quality and Process Reengineering (United States), and Resources Management for Defense (Peru). He also completed the Colloquium on Participant Centered Learning (CPCL) at Harvard Business School, United States.



Professor José Acha has worked at the Peruvian Navy as Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Commander – Naval Surface Force, Director of Personnel Administration at the Peruvian Navy, Commander of the Third Naval Zone, Director at the Center for Naval, Technical Training, Academic Dean at the Peruvian Naval Academy and other operational and administrative positions. He has experience in management control and planning, operational and managerial positions. He has been the Director of the Office of Admissions, Registry and Academic Support, Director of the Master’s degree programs, and Head of Quality and Assurance of Learning at CENTRUM PUCP. He has participated in several international missions in the United States, Australia, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Panama and Chile. He has taught at the Peruvian Naval Academy, the Peruvian Naval War College, Universidad del Pacífico and Instituto San Ignacio de Loyola.



Professor José Acha currently is Professor at the Finance, Business Economics, and Accounting department at CENTRUM PUCP Business School.
