Professor Alfaro is a Ph.D. candidate in Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a DBA (c) of Business Administration and Master of Philosophy from Maastricht School of Management, The Netherlands. He holds a Doctorate degree in Education and a Graduate Diploma in Curriculum Design under the Capabilities Approach from Norbert Wiener University, Peru. He also holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Business Administration from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He has pursued Doctoral studies in Public Health at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru.



Professor Alfaro has had several managerial positions and provided consulting services and audits at various public and private entities, such as: The United Nations Development Program, Ministry of Environment, Environmental Assessment and Audit Body (OEFA), Forestry monitoring agency (OSINFOR), Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, OSINERGMIN, Indecopi, Reniec, Municipality of San Isidro, Municipality of Santiago de Surco, Provincial Municipality of Cajamarca, Imarpe, INPE, Inictel-UNI, SAT Chiclayo, Devida, ONPE, Egemsa, Protransporte, Superintendency of Land Transport of People, Cargo and Freight (Sutran), La Positiva insurance company, Secrex -Credit Insurance  Company, Derrama Magisterial -social security company, Norbert Wiener University, Elapas (Company for Drinking Water and Sewerage in Bolivia), Pecsa, INEN, IQF del Perú. Medifarma, Peruvian Medical Association, El Bosque Country Club, among others.

Professor Alfaro has experience in auditing and implementing ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 19011, ISO/IEC 27001 NTP, NTP-ISO/IEC 17799, NTP-ISO/IEC 12207, COBIT, CMMI, PMBOK and ITIL. He is the author and co-author of various methodologies, such as: MAIGTI (Internal audit methodology for information technology management), MEVGIT (Methodology to evaluate value generation in IT), MIM3 (MIM3, the Methodology of Innovation Management for obtaining the level 3 of the I2MM in the organizations), MEPES (Methodology for Evaluating the Performance of E-mail servers) and SLMIFI (Sustainable Land Management Integrated Framework for Interventions).
